After a generous series of EP's and a wealth of remixes on the international underground dance music scene, Groj presents his first album 'Promised Land'. A swerve to the left of his past dance-floor oriented compositions - this collection of tracks explores relationships between emotional cycles, electronic music and analogue sounds with more attention given to experimentation.

Brainwashed by the visionary sounds of Krautrock giants and the rapturous explorations of Richard D. James, in “Promised Land” Groj interprets themes of trust, self- deception and private fantasies. An implosive minimalist system tangled in an abundant and hypnotic electro-acoustic foliage, the album comes through with a unique sense of simple delivery.

Après une armada de EP's et au moins autant de remixes sur la scène underground internationale, GROJ présente aujourd'hui son premier album : "Promised Land".
S'émancipant de son habituelle orientation "dance floor", il nous livre ici un florilège d'ambiances qui réaffirment avec l'entêtement et la fougue qu'on lui connait, sa curiosité et son amour des relations entre cycles émotionnels, musique électronique et son analogique.

Enfermé depuis des lustres dans une tête d'enceinte crachant à n'en plus pouvoir les sons immersifs et visionnaires des monstres du Kraut Rock et les explorations béates de Richard D. James, GROJ s'affranchit de l'ombre de ses pères et dévoile un univers définitivement personnel avec lequel il s'en va défricher de nouvelles "Terra Incognita".
De plus près, "Promised Land" fonctionne comme un système musical minimaliste en constante implosion, il y'a là bas une flore acoustique des plus abondantes et hypnotiques. On plonge en plein coeur de la fourmilière des styles et on en ressort avec un sentiment unique de simplicité d'éxécution.
